Dennis Orcollo
Biography
A native Filipino, Orcollo, known as “Robocop,” has long been considered the money game king of the Philippines. Orcollo began playing in the U.S. in 2006, winning the Sands Regency 9-Ball Championship, the Hard Times Open and the U.S. Bar Table 8-Ball Championship. A year later he won the Billiard Congress of America Open 9-Ball Championship. He won the World Pool Masters in 2010, and in 2011 won both the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) World 8-Ball Championship and the Derby City 9-Ball Championship. Orcollo has been a dominant player at the annual Derby City Classic, winning the 9-Ball title again in 2017 and the Nine-Ball Banks crown in 2014 and 2020. He has been crowned Derby City Master of the Table three times — 2014, 2017 and 2020. He has also won the U.S. Open 10-Ball (2012), U.S. Open 8-Ball (2015), U.S. Open Straight Pool (2016) and U.S. Open One-Pocket (2013, 2014). He has claimed more than a dozen more significant pro titles, including teaming with countryman Lee Vann Corteza to win the World Cup of Pool in 2013. During the decade of the 2010s, Orcollo amassed more than $800,000 in prize money.
