With the large number of events going on this weekend all over the country, the Joss NE 9-Ball Tour still drew a field of 29 players to Rack N Roll Sports Café & Billiards in Stamford, CT this weekend.
Tour director Mike Zuglan established himself as the favorite early with close wins over Ivaylo Petrov and Eddie Vazquez to take the hot-seat.
Vazquez took the trip to the one-loss side where Joe Korsiak was waiting after a 9-6 win over Teddy Garrahan. Vazquez scored a hard fought 9-6 win over Korsiak, to earn another shot at Zuglan in the finals.
The finals saw Zuglan take control and defeat Vazquez 9-5 for the tournament win.
Zuglan earned $1300 for first, while Vazquez settled for $870 in second place prize money. Korsiak and Garrahan filled out the top four spots.
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour will be at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ next weekend for their next event. Zuglan has indicated the possibility of extra spots being opened up for the $15,000 added event on February 19th and 20th at Turning Stone Casino. Interested parties should contact Mike Zuglan at 518-356-7163 on Tuesday for more information.
