Rebecca Zhou completed an undefeated run to win the Hunter Classic's Women's Tour stop at Bogie's Billiards in Houston Texas over the weekend.
Lisa Marr looked like she had the hot hand early in this one as she cruised through her first four matches by a combined score of 28-8. Even that kind of a roll was not enough though, as Marr fell to Zhou by a convincing 7-3 score next. Zhou then went on to defeat Leslie Anne Rogers 7-5 for the hot-seat.
On the one loss side, Rogers found Marr waiting. Marr had defeated Kyu Yi 7-5 and then Heather Pulford 7-6, but Rogers was able to stop Marr's run with a 7-3 win.
The finals between Rogers and Zhou was a classic battle of the established tour veteran taking on the newcomer. Zhou was playing in her second Hunter Tour stop and Rogers has probably won more Hunter Tour stops than any other player.
All the experience Rogers had could not help her though as Zhou took the final match 7-6 for her first Hunter Tour win.
