With an 11-5 win over Filipino Rubilen Amit in the finals, Xiao-Ting Pan is the new Women's World 9-Ball Champion.
Pan turned in a dominating performance all week. She came out of the group stages with a 4-1 record and then went on to score wins over Makiko Tagaki, Monica Webb, Kelly Fisher and Pei-Chen Tsai to get to the finals against Amit.
Amit had impressive wins over Allison Fisher, former champion Ga Young Kim and Yukiko Hamanishi on her way to the finals, but she came up just short with the loss to Pan in the finals.
