The field of players left at the WPBA US Open 9-Ball Championship contains two veterans and two newcomers.
In one semi-final match, Filipino newcomer Iris Ranola will face Korean Champion Yu Ram Cha. Ranola ran away with a 7-2 win over Sarah Ellerby on Saturday, while Cha defeated Karen Corr 7-5.
The other semi-final match will see Jeanette Lee taking on Kelly Fisher. Lee ended Pam Cimarelli's tournament 7-4, while Fisher squeeked by Vivian Villarreal 7-6 on Saturday.
Ranola and Cha are looking for their first WPBA titles. Fisher is looking for her first title win away from San Diego (She is a three time San Diego classic winner) and Lee is looking for her first title win since 2004.
Also at stake for Fisher is a possible perch atop the WPBA rankings. A first or second place finish by Fisher will give her that position. If Lee defeats Fisher on Sunday, then Karen Corr will regain the #1 spot. Former #1 ranked Allison Fisher will fall to 6th place on the points list.
Check the WPBA website for updates from all matches on Sunday.
