Day two is complete at the WPBA Regional Tour Championship and the field is now down to thirty two players and will be whittled down to just eight players on Sunday afternoon.
The top thirty two players after phase one of this event were separated into eight groups of four players and are in the middle of round robin matches to determine one winner for each group.
All players in this phase played two matches on Saturday and at the end of the day, it was California's Mary Rakin who is tied for the best record at 12-3 (Score based on games, not matches) with Naomi Williams. Other top scored are Amy Chen (12-4), Shu-Han Chang (12-5), Cathy Metzinger (12-6) and Lisa Marr (12-7).
One player will advance from each of the eight groups into one single elimination bracket on Sunday before a final Regional Tour Champion is awarded with the grand prize of $1400 in cash and paid entry to four WPBA Classic Tour Events. Another eight players will be award WPBA Tour Cards and invites into the Classic Tour Events.
Sunday will be filled with tension filled matches, as these players have competed all year for the chance to play in this event and they are all gunning for those tour cards.
