WPBA Masters action continued on into the evening at the Soaring Eagle Resort & Casino; the field has been whittled down to the final four:
On the winners side, Brit Allison Fisher faced off against Atlanta's Monica Webb, and the "Irish Invader" Karen Corr matched up against Korea's "Little Devil Girl" Ga Young Kim. Allison defeated Webb 9-4 to be the first person to earn a berth in Sunday's televised semi-final. Then, in a nail-biting thriller to the end, Karen Corr pocketed the final nine ball to defeat Ga Young Kim 9-8!
The WPBA Masters 9-Ball Championship fifth round of the one loss bracket saw:
Jasmin Ouschan d. Julie Kelly 9-4
Line Kjorsvik d. Line Kjorsvik 9-7
Jeanette Lee d. Melissa Little 9-2
Defeated players finished 9th.
In the next round of one-loss action:
Jasmin Ouschan d. Helena Thornfeldt 9-1 (Helena finishes 7th).
Jeanette Lee d. Line Kjorsvik 9-6 (Line finishes 7th)
In the final round of one loss action:
It was then Jasmin Ouschan vs. Ga Young Kim and Monica Webb vs. Jeanette Lee to determine the remaining two semi-finalists. Tied at 6-6, Ga Young pulled ahead to take the win 9-6 and earn her semi final match on Sunday against #1 ranked Allison Fisher. Monica Webb then defeated newly inducted WPBA Hall of Famer Jeanette Lee 9-6. Jeanette will commentate Sunday's TV matches; Webb will face Karen Corr in the second semifinal.
