The WPBA Great Lakes Classic kicks off on Thursday at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana with a number of intriguing story lines playing out.
Will #1 ranked Allison Fisher be able to hold off the charge from #2 ranked Xiao-Ting Pan and #3 ranked Ga-Young Kim? Will #5 ranked Anna Kostanian continue her run of top five finishes this year?
Will former #1 Karen Corr break through for her first win of the year?
Brackets for this event are posted on the wpba website and there are already some interesting matches in the first round.
Dawn Hopkins will face Belinda Calhoun in round one play, as well as Xiao-Ting Pan taking on Line Kjoersvik. A Canadian showdown between Joanne Ashton and Naomi Williams will be seen in the first round and also a match between up and coming Yu Ram Cha and Jasmin Ouschan. Cha has been dominating some of the regional events lately, but will certainly be tested by Ouschan.
