The World Pool Association (WPA) has decided to sanction the 2025 UK Open.
“We are in the final stages of the negotiations with Matchroom Pool regarding official WPA recognition to events in the World Nineball Tour (WNT),” said Ishaun Singh, WPA President. “While the process is taking longer than expected, the WPA Board wants to reassure athletes that they are welcome to compete in this year’s UK Open.”
Because the UK Open is not sanctioned through the WPA’s standard procedures, no WPA Ranking Points will be awarded. Nonetheless, the WPA fully endorses the UK Open and the Athletes who choose to compete.
