The WPA is delighted to announce that the World 8-Ball Championship will be back on the calendar as of 2017.
The Championships will be for both men and women, the two Championships being played simultaneously. Venue for event is the Olympic Centre in the beautiful city of Jinan, China. The event’s organiser is Eric Ding, owner of the billiard table manufacturing company Yalin, and is proudly sponsored by the Jinan government and co-sponsored by the Jinan Olympic Committee. After an inspection, WPA President Ian Anderson said that the venue is wonderfully modern, offering superb facilities and conditions that will suit the players ideally.
For accommodation there are five hotels in close proximity to the venue, and many restaurants offering all food varieties are available within the complex. Dates for the Championships will be announced soon, but will be held in the period of 4-17 September 2017. More details will be announced in the near future.
