Strokers's 2 the newest billiard room in Tampa, FL hosted this weekends Viking Cue Open and Amateur 9-Ball Tour events. A total of 85 players including 18 Jr and women players who received free entry and 21 league players that took advantage of the discount offered by The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour participated in the events .
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tours Open Division field of 41 players with 7 free women and Jr entries and 5 league player discounts included a strong pro and top regional player contingant with the likes of Shawn "Big Bubba" Putnam, Ronnie "the Blizzard" Wiseman, Corey "the Prince" Deuel, Tony "the Sniper" Crosby, Stony Stone, Sparky Ferrell, Donny Mills, David "the Red Rocket" Broxson, Trevor Breymore, Jason Richko, Justin Hall and WPBA player Tracie Hines participating in the event. Strokers 2 provided a great tournament atmosphere for all the players and spectators as all enjoyed the awesome play that took place on the 23, 9 foot tables housed at Strokers 2.
Ronnie Wiseman took first place in set 2 of the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tours double elimination format after his loss to Deuel in set #1--9-7. Wiseman made a come back after going neck to neck with Deuel until game 7 of set #2 where Wiseman took the lead only to give up two more games to Deuel before winning the set 9-6 to take home the 1st prize winnings.
Wiseman rolled thru the top half of the bracket undefeated beginning his pathway to the finals by defeating James Roberts 9-7; Leslee Davis 9-1; Rodel Morados 9-6; Bobby Livrago 9-8; Justin Hall 9-5; Corey Deuel in the Hot Seat Match 9-6; Wiseman proceeded to the finals to face Deuel again.
Corey Deuel made his way thru the bottom half of the chart undefeated until the hot seat match sending the following to the one loss side beginning his trek with a bye in round one and proceeding to defeat David Braxson 9-5; Jeff Rogers 9-2; Neil "Murphy" Young 9-4; Shawn Putnam 9-6; losing to Wiseman 9-6; Deuel defeated Tony Crosby 9-5 in the semi finals and running the fnal seven racks of the set sending him back to face Wiseman once again in the finals.
Tony Crosby claimed 3rd place after a bye in round one he defeated Sparky Ferrell 9-6; Crosby was sent to the left side of the chart by Justin Hall's win of 9-6; once there Crosby elminated Ted Lepak 9-1; Mike Janis 9-4; Neil Young 9-4; Stony Stone 9-6; Justin Hall 9-8; Shawn Putnam 9-5; and was elminated in the semi finals by Deuel 9-1.

The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour Amateur Division included 44 players with 11 free entries given to women and Jr players and 16 league discounts. The Amateur Division included local favorites such as Neil " Murphy" Young, Ted Lepak, Jose Ybarra, Jeremy Bell, Bill Moses, Chris Walsh, Jonathon Demet and Jose Delrio.
In the Finals Demet lead Moses 3-0 in set #2until Moses came back to make it 4-3; Demet tied 4-4 in game 8; Moses came back in game 9 to win the Amateur Event in the 2nd set of the true double elmination format offered by The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour.
Bill Moses drew a bye in round one, Moses defeated Emily Wilmoth 5-0; Trey Jankowski 5-2; before losing to Scott Howard 5-4; on the one loss side Moses fought his way back to the finals elminating Jesse Langston 5-3; Justin Stocks 5-2; Kim Dyer 5-3; Jose Ybarra 5-3 sending him to the finals to face Jonathon Demet. Moses was victorious in set #1-- 5-3; and hill-hill in set #2--5-4.
Jonathon Demet made worked his way thru the bottom half of the bracket undefeated to the finals sending the following to the one loss side Kim Dyer 5-2; Matt Menes 5-0; Chris Turk 5-2; Jeremy Bell 5-4; Scott Howard 5-3; Demet defeated Jose Ybarra in the hot seat match 5-0 before facing Bill Moses in the finals were defeated Demet in both sets to take the win.
Jose Ybarra claimed 3rd place after beginning round one with a bye and proceeding to defeat Julio Delpoza 5-1; Jesse Langston 5-4; Neil Young 5-0; Justin Stocks 5-4; Ybarra lost to Jonathon Demet in the hot seat match 5-0 sending him to face Bill Moses in the semi finals where Moses won 5-3.
