Howard Vickery has completed an undefeated run through the field of 57 other players and won the Senior Masters V at Steve Mizerak's Billiards in Lake Park, FL.
Vickery got started with two close matches; an 11-7 win over Ray Morgan and an 11-8 win over Mike Gulyassi. Things didn't get any easier after those two matches as Vickery then defeated Wade Crane 11-6 and then Jose Parica 11-8. An 11-4 win over Bill Ferguson set Vickery up to play Buddy Hall for the hot-seat, which he won 11-7. After Hall lost to Ray Martin on the one-loss side, Vickery crushed Martin 11-4 in the final match.
Vickery earned $10,000 for first place, with Martin settling for $6000 in prize money. Hall and Bobby Hunter filled out the top four spots.
