RUNOUT MEDIA is proud to announce that it has begun filming an hour long television special that will feature internet superstar Florian 'Venom' Kohler.
The original DVD (released in late 2009), was inevitably leaked through online piracy, eventually making it publically available on social networks and video sharing sites. The video quickly became an online sensation, racking up approximately 100 million cumulative views when it was featured on sites such as ABC News, AOL.com, Break.com, and was even the "video of the week" on Youtube and DailyMotion.com (a Youtube competitor).
Using the unexpected exposure as a catalyst, Florian now aims to take his innovative trickshots straight to network television. Teamed up with producer Nathan DuMoulin, the show will be formatted as an action-documentary that combines exciting shot-making with a glimpse into Florian's private life as he performs exhibitions across Europe and Asia. With studio locations prepared in Switzerland, Netherlands, and China, the show promises to push innovation beyond anything previously seen in billiards.
The show is made possible by five generous sponsors who have supported Florian since his early Youtube days: Rasson Billiards, Mezz Cues, Kamui Tips, Simonis Cloth, and Delta-13.
The show is slated for release in February 2013 and is currently scheduled for broadcast on Chinese networks, as well as free public released via the internet.
