Shane Van Boening
Shane Van Boening continues to show his dominance on the bar table with yet another win in the 9 ball division at the US Bar Table Championships. Shane fell to Thorsten Hohmann earlier on the winner's side, his first loss in both events he played. Shane then defeated Scott Frost and Oscar Dominguez to regain his very familiar TAR finals live stream arena. He won over Thorsten Hohmann in two straight sets, Hohmann only getting to 5 in both sets. Shane takes home the first prize of 5,300. The 9 ball division had 139 entrants.
The 8 ball division also started on Friday. CueSport International is very pleased with the successful turnout as the men's side had an astounding 184 entrants sign up, all vying for the $7,000 added prize fund and the $6,200 first place. This is the first year this event has held a women's division. 38 women arrived for the 8 ball, drawn by the $1,000 added prize fund and $1,280 first place.
