The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour was in action this weekend at Champions Billiards Cafe in Arlington, VA with a field of 60 players in the open division.
BJ Ussery ran through the winners side undefeated and took the hot-seat with a 9-8 win over Mike Davis. Davis took the trip to the one-loss side where he ran into last event's winner Pooky Rasmelongon. Davis fell to Rasmelongon 7-6 on the one-loss side.
Pooky took the first set of the double elimination finals 9-5 to force a second match with Ussery to determine the winner. Ussery came back with a vengeance and won the final set 9-2 for the tournament victory.
Ussery collected $1000 for first, while Rasmelongon took home $650 for second. Davis and Ron Justice filled out the top four spots.
The women's division drew a field of 20 players, but once again it was all Sueyen Rhee. Rhee took the hot-seat with a 7-3 win over Patricia Spurgeon and then won a very close 7-6 match over Malea Haacke in the finals for her sixth straight tournament win.
Rhee won $300 for first, and Haacke took $200 for second. Spurgeon and Amanda Smith filled out the top four spots.
The Falcon Cue 9-Ball Tour will be at First Break Cafe in Sterling, VA on September 27th-28th for their next event.
