Day three at the US Open dawns with one more day of matches before the day off on Thursday due to the approaching hurricane.
Tuesday evening was full of great matches with Shawn Putnam, Danny Hewitt, Johnny Archer, Mika Immonen, Mike Davis, Jose Parica, Ralf Souquet, Marcus Chamat, Rodney Morris, George San Souci, Scott Frost, Francisco Bustamante, Santos Sambajon, Efren Reyes, Earl Strickland, Troy Frank and Jarrod Clowery all advancing.
Strickland trailed in his match against Robb Saez 10-8, but came back for the 11-10 victory. Another comeback winner was Jarrod Clowery who trailed Young-Hwa Yeong 8-5 before winning six straight games for the 11-8 victory. Nick Varner looked good in his match against Chris Lamm as he broke and ran the final four racks for the 11-4 win.
