It was a small but competitive field that met up for the Fury Lake Michigan tour's second stop held at Brass Eagle Family Billiards in Bristol, Indiana on April 30, 2005. By day's end the field was narrowed down to three players and a well-fought final.
After undefeated runs through the winner's bracket, it was points-leader Josh Ulrich versus fellow Fury Midwest player Ted Reeves playing for the hot seat. It was all Ulrich as he was crowned king of the hill with a 7-0 shutout, sending Reeves to the B side.
Reeves traveled west to meet up with Tony Davenport who had been put on the B side by Ulrich earlier in the tournament. Davenport had made a good run of the B side but was quickly bested by Reeves who put him out 5-2.
The final rematch between Ulrich and Reeves was close until Ulrich pulled ahead to take a 6-3 lead. He followed this up with a combo and a 9-ball on the snap to strengthen the lead to 8-3. Suddenly Reeves got in gear and ran out the next three racks to come within two games at 8-6. When Reeves took the next game to trail 8-7, it looked like Ulrich could have an upset on his hands. Ulrich was not going to let the match go hill-hill though and he bore down to take the next game and win the match 9-7.
