TV 5 will broadcast the 2011 World Ten Ball Championship of the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), which is scheduled at the World Trade Center on May 9 to 15 this year.
The rapidly expanding network has also won the right to broadcast the 2011 Philippine Open Pool Championships, which is scheduled on April 6-11 at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall.

Both events are organized and promoted by Prism-Raya Sports, which owns the franchises to the tournaments, courtesy of the WPA, the world governing body for pool sports.
TV 5 will broadcast the tournaments on its newly launched Aksyon TV (Channel 41), the 24-hour news and sports channel which started airing this Monday, February 21.
TV5 and Raya Sports signed an agreement on February 16 for the assignment to TV5 of the exclusive broadcast rights to the WTBC and the Philippine Open and other pool events,
The agreement also covers two other key tournaments in the Raya pool program::

2. The Philippine Pool Tour, a series of pool events staged in strategic cities all over the Philippines during the year, which are sanctioned by the Asian Pocket Billiards Union (APBU).
