On Saturday, January 12th. at Herbert's Billiards & Sports Bar, located at Plaza at the Meadows, Secaucus, New Jersey starting at 6:30PM World Champion Trick Shot Artists Eric “The Preacher” Yow, along with team mate Andy “Magic Man” Segal will challenge Bruce “The Big Guy” Barthelette, and Matt “No Fail' McPhail in a Race to win this 180 Point Trick Shot Champions Challenge Tournament. This tournament is being held to Benefit the production of the Independent Feature Film “9-Ball.”
Trick Shot Champion Eric Yow was quoted as saying “ What an honor to be working with such a creative, and insightful independent filmmaker like Tony Palma.” Star, Jennifer Barretta had this to say about the movie “9-Ball” “ This project is the most exciting thing happening in pool right now and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.” The largest pool organization in the world's Public Relations Director, Jason Bowman said “We're very excited to be working with Main Street Productions in support of this film. After reading the screenplay, we knew this was a movie that would be a hit with our members as well as the pool playing public in general.”
As this event that Main Street Productions is producing is a Fundraiser for the Production of the feature film “9-Ball” there is a $10.00 at the door Donation. Superstar 9 Ball Champion Jennifer Barretta is playing the lead role of Gail the young woman who is has to overcome huge hurtles to try and become the Women's 9 Ball Champion of the World. If you liked “Rocky” and “Million Dollar Baby” you will love “9-Ball.”
Tournament play will start sharply at 6:30PM so come early, and enjoy yourself with a drink and some great food. Herbert's has 25 Gold Crown pool tables. Plan to stick around after the Trick Shot Champion Challenge Tournament and play a few games. Maybe you can challenge one of the Champions to a game?
Everyone at this fundraiser will have a chance to win a custom cue with all the signatures of the Trick Shot Challenge Tournament. This will be a wonderful collectors item or maybe a Christmas present for your favorite pool player? Another great prize that can be won will be a Trick Shot Clinic taught by Champion Andy “Magic Man” Segal. Also, any pool player who wants to be in the movie “9-Ball” can sign up at the door for a Drawing where 15 players will be picked at 9PM.
