Thorsten Hohmann showed his World Champion form again this weekend with an undefeated run through a field of 208 players to win the Dynamic Billard Netherlands Open.
Hohmann made his run by beating Christian Reimering, Robert Zachar, Rico Diks, Klasovic and Michael Schmidt on his way to the finals. His opponent, Nick van den Berg, made his way through the winner's side, impressively beating the likes of Markus Juva, Tony Drago, Marcus Chamat, Erik Weiselius and Niels Feijen.
The finals were where Hohmann really took control. Hohmann won the final match 9-1 and allowed van den Berg a total of three trips to the table, facing a safety all three times.
The field in this event was packed with top players such as Ralf Souquet, Mika Immonen and Oliver Ortmann, who all fell earlier in the tournament.
Hohmann pocketed $3500 for first, while van den Berg settled for $2500. Niels Feijen and Michael Schmidt took home $1700 for third place.
