Denver, Colorado January 25th, 2009: Melissa “The Viper” Little teamed up with Denver Sports Buddies a division of Big Brothers and Sisters Organization. Starting in January Melissa is offering pool tournaments once a month for these kids. The winner will receive a cue and case donated by Melissa's long-time sponsor, The Wynkoop Brewing Company.
The next events are scheduled for February 22nd, March 8th, and April 26th, 2009 at the Wynkoop Brewing Company located at 1634 18th Street, Denver, CO. Melissa Little is the house pool pro at the Wynkoop and dedicates her time to teaching, mentoring, and promoting kids playing pool. So, you want to be a Sports Buddy? What's not to love about watching and playing sports with a kid? Sports Buddies is a program of our Colorado youth mentoring leader, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. As a Sports Buddy you will be matched one-to-one with a great kid to play sports and attend sporting events for six months. Many Sports Buddies activities are scheduled each month and we ask volunteers and kids to attend at least one per month. All the transportation and activity fees are included so all you have to do is show up and have fun.
