Dave Pearson “The Ginger Wizard” will attempt to break his own Guinness world record at Ozone Billiards, 100% of Profit from Select Items will Be Donated in the Name of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Last year Ozone Billiards raised $10,000 for the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” campaign. The money raised helped the American Cancer Society fight the disease with research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
This year Dave “The Ginger Wizard” Pearson is pitching in by attempting to break his own Guinness World Record at Ozone Billiards in Kennesaw, GA. As one of the fastest pool players in the world, Dave has broken over 20 Guinness World Records, including 16,499 balls pocketed in 24hrs. Dave is flying in from England to officially break his current 10 table record of 8 minutes 51 seconds. The cue Dave uses to break the record will be autographed and raffled off. All proceeds will be added to the pot given to the American Cancer Society at the end of the event on Saturday Oct. 25.
In October 2012, Ozone Billiards launched their first campaign to raise funds for breast cancer research and awareness. The concept they created was to organize a group of billiard and dart products sold on their website and to dedicate all the profits to breast cancer research and awareness. During the first month of the campaign Ozone Billiards raised $1,000. They felt this was a great achievement but wanted to do more so they decided to allow the campaign to run for the entire year. By the end of October 2013 they were able to raise $10,000.
Supporting cancer research hits close to home for both Dave Pearson the Ozone Billiards family. Dave lost both of his parents to cancer at a young age. Owner, Shawn Gargano, had a Grandmother who began a fight with breast cancer at a young age until she eventually lost the battle at age 78. Shawn says “As a family business, I feel it is important to give back. Ozone Billiards just opened its first Brick & Mortar location near their headquarters in Kennesaw, GA.
