For the 17th consecutive year, the Derby City Classic will again have more pool than any other event in the world.

Let’s run through the events that are in store.
First up on January 23rd is the 9-Ball Bank (also called Short Rack Bank) competition. The players meeting will be at noon and play will begin at 1 PM. The guaranteed added money is $10,000 and the total prize fund (depends on number of players) is estimated to be about $50,000. This is the usual single-elimination format with a single buyback allowed for each player. Entry fee is $110 and the buyback is $50.
The Diamond Bigfoot Challenge (16 invited players) begins on January 23 and will once again give you the opportunity to watch the world’s best players tackle the ten-hour table monster.
The One-Pocket players meeting is at noon on January 25 and play begins at 1 PM. This total purse will be approximately $52,500 with $15,000 in guaranteed added money. Also on January 25 the Straight Pool Challenge will begin with a $100 entry fee bringing the possibility of a $1,000 high run prize and an undetermined prize fund that includes $7,000 in added money.
The 9-Ball event will kick off with the players meeting at noon on January 28th. Play will begin at 1 PM and the total purse will be about $77,500 and that includes $25,000 in guaranteed added money. In order to save yourself the $25 late fee make sure you register prior to the day that your event begins.
The player with the best record after the Banks, One-Pocket and 9-pBall will be the Master of the Table for 2015 and will receive $20,000 for his effort while the runner-up will get $3,000 and third place will be awarded $2,000.
Those are just the Main Events. In addition to those there will be mini-tournaments running in multiple disciplines every day of the event.
The DCC is presented by the Horseshoe of Southern Indiana and is open to all players. Male, female, pro or amateur, you may play. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by an adult.
