It was an "All Canadian Final" at the JPNEWT NY State Women's 9-Ball Championships at Michelle's Billiard Caf? in Baldwinsville NY on October 1st and 2nd. Up for the taking was a $2735 cash prize fund and 2 WPBA US Open Qualifiers for the highest ranking eligible finishers.
Terri Mason went undefeated through the field with wins over Lauren Galen, Barbara Stock, Liz Taylor, and Kathy Friend to then win the hot seat match against Caroline Pao, 7-3.
Anita McMahon lost an early match to Liz Taylor but came back with wins over Carol Clark, Barbara Stock, Michelle Allen, and Kathy Friend to meet up with Caroline Pao to face off for 3rd Place. Anita froze Caroline in her seat with a 7-3 score.
In the final race to 9, Anita drew first blood, but Terri wore Anita down and gained a 7-3 lead. Terri met the hill first and then Anita answered back with two more games, but an early turnover in the last rack gave Terri the table and the win, 9-5.
