Day two of the Billiard Education Foundation’s Junior National Championships finished up on Wednesday, where Joey Tate put an exclamation mark on his third Junior National Title. Tate defeated Nebraska’s Rylan Yoder in the finals of the 22 & Under 8-Ball event with a score of 7-0. That completed his run through the 48 player field undefeated.

Tate didn’t have as much fun in today’s 23 & Under Boys Straight Pool event, as he dropped the final match to Iowa’s Samuel Henderson 75-29. That completed an undefeated run by Henderson for his first Junior National Title.

The 22 & Under Girls 14.1 division will see a rematch in the finals from the 23 & Under Girls 8-Ball event from earlier in the event. Sofia Mast will face Savannah Easton in a 50 point match, where Easton will try to avenge her loss to Mast in that earlier 8-Ball match.

Mast and Easton are going to get very familiar with each other games at this event, as they will also face off for the hot-seat in the 16 & Under Girls 9-Ball event.

Today will also see the completion of the 14 & Under Boys 9-Ball event, with D’Angelo Spain set to take on Hayden Ernst for the hot-seat and a number of hopefuls still competing on the one loss side.

Bracket are online for all divisions at compusport.ca and select matches will be streamed for free on the Post Up YouTube page.
