Chris Szuter came back from the one-loss side and avenged his loss to Ken Kerekes to win the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour event at Northfield Billiards in Northfield.
Szuter faced off against Kerekes for the hot-seat and lost 7-5, but he took the trip to the one-loss side where he then defeated Will Slone 7-5 to set up the rematch with Kerekes in the finals.
The first set of the double elimination finals went to hill-hill before Szuter pulled out the win. As if that wasn't enough, the second set also went hill-hill and also went to Chris Szuter in the case game.
Szuter collected $1080 for first place while Kerekes settled for $750 in second place prize money. Slone and Sy Brown filled out the top four spots.
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour will have two events on the weekend of September 27th - 28th. One at The Green Room in N. Aurora, Illinois and the other at Snookers' Billiards in Cincinnati, Ohio.
