The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour was at Game Time / Rip Tide in Greenville, SC with a field of 68 players competing for the $2000 in added prize money.
Randy Burris finished in a disappointing second place for his third time this season. In two previous events, Burris lost early matches and fought through the one-loss side, this time Burris took the hot-seat with a 7-5 win over BJ Ussery.
After the loss to Burris, Ussery fell to Steve Moore 7-4 in the semi-finals to set up the final match of Burris and Moore.
The first set was tied at 6-6 with Burris running out when a miscue on the 6-ball allowed Moore back to the table where he scored the 7-6 victory to set up a second set. Burris may have never recovered from that miscue, as Moore controlled the second set and won 7-2.
Moore collected $1800 for first, while Burris settled for $1200 for second. Ussery and Eddie Little filled out the top four spots.
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour will be at Starzone Billiards in Norcross, GA for their next event on May 3rd - 4th.
