Ralf Souquet has won the Derby City Classic 9-Ball Division. Souquet went undefeated and scored back to back 7-2 wins over Efren Reyes to earn the $13,000 first prize.
With three players left in the tournament, Souquet got a bye and Reyes faced off with Jimmy Wetch. Wetch had already used his buy-back and Reyes handed him loss #2 with a dominating 7-0 victory and 1.000 Accu-Stats performance.
With Reyes seemingly breaking and running at will and already having the $20,000 All Around Champion bonus locked up, Souquet would have his work cut out for him in the finals. Souquet took it all in stride however, as he won the lag and proceeded to break and run the first three racks on his way to the first 7-2 victory. After Reyes used his 'buy-back', Souquet again took control of the match from the beginning and scored another 7-2 victory.
