Competition is over for the second day at the 2005 World Pool Championship at the Kaohsiung Business Exhibition Center, with another 112 matches complete in the first round group play.
Thorsten Hohmann, Andreas Roschkowsky, Raj Hundal, Satoshi Kawabata, Johnny Archer, Manalo, Kuo and Huang all have a maximum of eight points from four matches as they lead the way into the race to the knock-out stages.
At the other end of the scale, big names Ralf Souquet, Efren Reyes and Steve Davis are all in severe danger of missing the cut unless their fortunes take a serious turn for the better. All have suffered three defeats.
For the rest, there is everything to play for as the action gets underway on Monday morning. There are eight players in each of the 16 groups and the top four make it through to the straight knock out stages.
