Jasmin Ouschan and Ralf Souquet are your new enjoypool.com 9-Ball Champions.
Ouschan defeated Allison Fisher 7-5 in the first match of the day. Fisher came out and took charge early in the match with a 3-0 lead. Ouschan then came back and won 3 games of her own to tie the match at 3-3. The match was tied again at 4-4, but Ouschan won two in a row to get to the hill at 6-4. From there, they split racks on their breaks and Ouschan won 7-5.
The men's finals saw Souquet run the first 3 racks he broke and he took a 4-2 lead by taking advantage of a dry break by Archer. A great shot in game 8 by Archer knotted the score back at 4-4, but Archer went for a very tough cut shot in the 11th game that cost him the rack. It looked like Archer would get a chance to redeem himself when Souquet got bad shape on the 1-ball in the final rack, but Souquet played a great two way bank on the one that left him out in the final rack.
Both Ouschan and Souquet earned $20,000 for their wins, while Archer and Fisher settled for $10,000 in prize money.
