Jerry Slikva went undefeated through a field of 92 players to win the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour stop at Mr Pockets in Pittsburgh, PA this weekend.
Slivka defeated top seed Danny 'Kid Delicious' Basavich 7-1 on Sunday and never looked back.
A 7-4 win over Mr Pockets housepro Brian Mahan sent Slivka to the hot-seat. Mahan defeated Ryan Ziegler 7-5 in the semi-final match to earn another shot at Slivka, but came up short in the finals as Slivka rolled to a 7-1 win.
Slivka won $1335 for first, while Mahan settled for $800 in second place prize money. Ziegler and Bill McCollim filled out the top four spots.
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour will be at GameTime / Riptide in Greenville, SC next weekend for their first $5000 added regional championship of the year. These events always draw top players and next week should be no exception.
