Barry Behrman, founder and promoter of the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship, is proud to announce that Simonis and Aramith will be the Official Title Sponsors for this year’s event. Mr. Ivan Lee, President of Iwan Simonis, Inc. Home of Simonis cloth and Aramith balls in the U.S.A. and a U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship sponsor for over 10 years, has agreed to become the Title and Arena sponsor for 2014.
“The U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship is the longest continually run event in the United States”, said Lee. “It’s a favorite of all the greatest players and consistently draws one of the strongest fields in the sport. Barry is committed to using the finest cloth and balls in his event and the players know it”.
2014 marks the 39th U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship and puts the importance of professional pool for both men and women on display at America’s premier event. The U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship will be held at the Chesapeake Marriott on October 13-18.

In case you may not be aware, I’ll be pursuing many outside the billiard industry as well as the corporate world for the 2015, 40th, U.S. Open to raise a lot of money for the future. One of my goals will be for our 40th next year to be at least $250,000.00 in prize money and I’ll be working on that prior to this year’s event October 13-18 at the Chesapeake Marriott.
