Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn said: “We are thrilled that the World Cup of Pool will take place in Shanghai, bringing 64 of the sport’s very best players to China.
“The World Cup is one of the stand out events in the 9-ball calendar and will be broadcast live across China and on Sky Sports in the UK alongside our usual broadcast partners around the world. Austria are the defending champions but China is a pool powerhouse and we know the host nation will be among the favourites to win this great event.”
