Blaze 9 Ball Tour made it's sixteenth stop on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Q-Ball Billiards in Vineland, NJ. Thirty players showed up to take their shot at the prize.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Santos Sambajon beating Paol Bachelor 7-2, David Abraham 7-3, and Josh Brothers 7-4. Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Wali Muhammad, claiming victory over Bill Smith Jr. 7-6, Jennifer Barretta, 7-1, and Matt Krah 7-4.
Playing for the hot seat it was Santos Sambajon vs Wali Muhammad. This was a one sided match with Santos taking control of the match and never looking back winning easily 7-2, sending Muhammad to the one loss side. On the one loss side, Wali Muhammad beat Matt Krah once again 5-3 sending him to the finals against Santos Sambajon.
In the finals Muhammad had to win two matches against Sambajon, but only won the first 7-5, Sambajon then went to claim victory over Muhammad in the second match 5-2 giving him stop # 16 of the Blaze 9 Ball Tour.
A honorable mention goes out to Liz Ford, who won six matches in a row, beating Michael Yednak, Ariel Rivera, Sal Marianna, Jennifer Berretta, and Josh Brothers respectively. Then she went up against Matt Krah and lost a match that she had in hand 5-4. Special thanks to Jose Garcia owner of Q-Ball Billiards for hosting the event.
The seventeenth stop of the Blaze 9-Ball Tour will be held Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Empire Billiards in Mount Holly NJ.
