Tony Ruberto went undefeated through a field of 32 players to win the Joss NE 9-Ball Tour Stop at Trick Shot Billiards in Clifton Park, NY.
Ruberto cruised into the match for the hot-seat, which he won with a 9-7 victory over Mike Zuglan.
Zuglan went to the one-loss side where he found Frankie Hernandez with a little revenge on his mind. Zuglan had sent Hernandez to the one loss side on Saturday and Hernandez returned the favor with a 9-5 win over Zuglan to send Zuglan to the tournament director's desk in third place.
All of the momentum that Hernandez had gathered on the one loss side was quickly halted in the finals as Ruberto took control early and crushed Hernandez 9-3 in the first and only set.
Ruberto earned $1300 for first while Hernandez took home $900 for second. Zuglan and Dave Fernandez filled out the top four spots.
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour will be at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ for their next event on October 29th-30th. Mike Zuglan is already taking calls from interested players for the Turning Stone Classic VI 9-Ball Open that was announced this week. The $25,000 added event will take place on February 16th - 19th at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY.
