With multiple wins from the left side of the board in her Hunter Tour career, Lisa Marr had become known for her ability to double dip opponents and win events. This weekend, she found out what it was like on the other end of one of those double dips.
Lisa was one of the fifty ladies competing in the Hunter Classic Women's Tour event at Fast Eddies in Austin Texas. Marr was undefeated on her way to the hot-seat, which she won with a 7-6 victory in a classic match against Ellen Van Buren. The match featured everything from safety and kick battles to jump shots and table runs.
Marr took her spot in the hot-seat and them watched Van Buren take on Leslie Anne Rogers on the one-loss side. Van Buren led the match 5-4, but was kept in her chair as Rogers ran out the last three racks for the 7-5 victory.
Rogers took the first set 7-1 to force the final set, which she won by the score of 7-5.
Rogers won $750 for first in addition to the WPBA qualifier for Peoria. Marr settled for $600 in second place prize money. Van Buren and Deanna Henson filled out the top four positions.
The Hunter Tour will be at Shooters II in Lake Jackson, TX on March 6th - 7th for their next event.
