The 13th Annual Derby City Classic kicked off on Friday January 21st with a field of 388 players competing in the banks division.
As usual, the field of players in this event is arguably the most high calibre group of pool players that a fan could ever see at a pro tournament. Unfortunately for those fans, the one man that everyone wants to see the most will not be competing this year.
Efren Reyes, who won the Master of the Table award last year, was a last minute cancellation as back problems kept him from making the trip from the Philippines.
Reyes had a challenge match already scheduled with last year's One Pocket division winner Scott Frost. But that match will have to take place at another time and place.
Fans in attendance will have to settle for being able to watch every other top player in the world of cuesports competing.
