Efren Reyes reaffirmed his position as the top one pocket player in the game today |
After thirteen rounds of one pocket play at the Derby City Classic, we have a winner. And it is the same winner we had last year, and the year before, and the year before. Efren Reyes capped off an undefeated run with a 3-1 win over Cliff Joyner in the finals to win his fourth straight Derby City One Pocket Title. With Reyes' runner up finish in the Bank Pool event, he is now the heavy favorite for the Master of the Table bonus prize.
Three rounds of nine ball play were complete at the time of this writing and the fourth round was still being played.
Bob Jewett's Straight Pool competition is now complete and the big winner was Mika Immonen with a top run of 160 balls. Mika earned $3600 in prize money. John Schmidt finished with a run of 71 and earned $2000 in prize money. We will have complete payouts from this event on Friday.
We have complete results from the banks and one pocket events as well as the first three rounds of the nine ball. We also have seven photo galleries from Diana Hoppe who is at the event.
