The Derby City Classic One Pocket Division is now down to seven players in round eleven.
With an odd number of spots, one player had to catch a bye and that was Tony Chohan who automatically moves into round twelve. The three remaining matches will see Bob Hercik from Las Vegas taking on Charlie 'Hillbilly' Bryant, Jeremy Jones vs Corey Deuel and defending champion Efren Reyes taking on David Matlock in a repeat of their match from Wednesday night. In that match, Matlock led 2-0, but lost the next three games to leave Reyes undefeated for the event. Reyes is the only player left without a loss.
The 9-Ball division is now underway and the original field of 345 players has been whittled down to a little under 200 players fighting for first place.
UPDATE: Reyes defeated Matlock. Deuel defeated Jones and Hercik defeated Bryant. Round twelve is underway with Deuel playing Hercik and Reyes advancing over Chohan 3-2. Chohan led the match 2-1 and was playing shape on his out ball, but didn't get far enough and lost the game and match to Reyes. Reyes will face the winner of the match between Deuel and Hercik in the finals on Friday.
