Elkridge, MD—Members of the J. Pechauer Northeast Women's Tour (JPNEWT) gather for their annual World 9-Ball Championship Qualifier at KB Billiards on Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25. Tournament matches begin Saturday morning following the players' meeting at 11am.
Organizers anticipate a strong showing of professional and amateur 9-ball players from the area. The winner of the two-day event will earn a spot in the Women's World 9-Ball Championship in China next month. The Championship event features 32 women from around the world competing for a first place prize of $30,000.
JPNEWT is a regional tour recognized by the Women's Professional Billiards Association (WPBA). Throughout the year, JPNEWT hosts 9-ball tournaments in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Players compete for cash and prizes at each event.
