After finishing fourth or better in nearly every Pechauer Stop he's participated in, Rafael Martinez finally pops off a win at Stop # 10: Fast Eddys Billiards in Capitola, Ca this past weekend (June 28/29). He exacted his revenge against the person who held him down at the McQ's Billiards stop in Spokane just a couple months ago. Stan Tourangeau faced Raffy for the hot seat and again for the finals. At the Spokane stop it had looked like Raffy was going to make road kill out of Tourangeau who put on a spectacular demonstration of pool ability just in the nick of time for the win. Raffy made sure that would not happen this time and took advantage of every opportunity to finish Tourangeau as quickly as possible.
Raffy's win at the Fast Eddy's event snuck him past long time tour leader Billy Palmer - who is now just 30 points behind Martinez in second place. Tourangeau took a significant jump into the third place spot with 680 points, but should not be a serious threat to either Palmer or Martinez unless goofy things happen in either of the next two stops. Goofy things happen in pool?
