JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA (October 27, 2009) – World-renowned Predator Cues and famed custom cue maker J. Pechauer join forces to release the Imperial 22 & 23 Predator Special Editions, the first cues co-developed with Pechauer to feature his signature Crown Jewel shaft inlay technique.
Previously seen only on Pechauer's line of cues, the distinctive Crown Jewel shaft inlays on Predator's Imperial 22 & 23 Special Editions give players the utmost in beauty with the proven technology of Predator's high-performance 3142 shaft. Pechauer's proprietary inlay technique incorporates designs from the cue to the lower portion of the shaft nearest the joint. Application of the design stays at the very surface of the wood to work in perfect harmony with the 10-piece splicing in Predator's shafts.
“It's been amazing to collaborate with Predator on such a fulfilling body of work,” says J. Pechauer, “and I can only hope players enjoy competing with the cues as much as we have enjoyed creating them.”
Constructed to perfection with magnificent Cocobolo, Ebony and Birdseye Maple woods, these cues also feature the Uni-Loc® weight cartridge system that lets a player fine-tune the weight of their cue to within a tenth of an ounce. The high-performance 3142 is the standard shaft, and the Z2 shaft is available as an upgrade. Only 75 of each cue will be made and hand-signed by Pechauer himself.
“These cues are truly remarkable,” says Karim Belhaj, CEO of Predator Group, “and combine a new elegance with Predator's unsurpassed performance. Simply put, these cues redefine standards for design in our marketplace.”
Imperial 22 & 23 retail for $1,995 each. Dealers can place their orders today. Collectors and players can purchase Predator's newest SE's in November. For more information on the Imperial 22 & 23 Special Editions by Pechauer visit http://www.predatorcues.com/predator_cues_special_edition.php.
