Pluym over Duster at All American Tour Stop

The sixteenth stop on the 2008/2009 Pechauer All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted at Hammerheads Bar & Billiards in Dubuque, IA, on Saturday, November 29.  The $500 added event drew seventeen players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.  Ron Pluym (Dubuque, IL) marched undefeated to the finals.  In the hot-seat match, Pluym (rated a “5” on a regional handicap system used) clipped Chad Behnke [4] (Farley, IA) 5-3.  Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Pluym outmaneuvered Casey Brokus [4] (Dubuque, IA) 5-2, while Behnke beat Jerry French [4] (Moline, IL) by a 4-2 margin.  In the B-side bracket Mike Rohner [4] (Dubuque, IA) eliminated Jerry French [4] (Moline, IL) at 5th place 4-0, while Chad Duster [5] (Dubuque, IA), a first-round loser, maintained his momentum by ousting Casey Brokus [4] (Dubuque, IA) at the same placement 5-2.  In the B-side semifinals Duster avenged his first-round loss by whitewashing Mike Rohner 5-0.  In the B-side finals, Duster closed outAzB Content Management Chad Behnke's tournament at 3rd place by a comfortable 5-2 score.  The tournament finals was tight from the start, but Ron Pluym ended Chad Duster's run on the hill 5-4 to claim the title!

By virtue of Jerry French being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 8-Ball singles entry into the 2009 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS.  The ACS wishes to thank sponsors J.
