With the second season of the Pechauer West Coast 9-ball tour underway, the year looks to be very promising! The schedule will be divided into three terms, the first of which has already been posted running through the end of the 2003 calendar year. Pechauer Custom Cues has been thrilled with the response from enthusiasts and encouraged On The Wire Billiard Promotions to run as many as 24 tour stops throughout the second season. Steve Lingelbach of On The Wire Billiard Promotions thought the additional 6 stops would be a good opportunity to promote competitive bar table play throughout the Northwest Region which specifically tends to have a dominant bar table following. "We are excited to provide a venue for high level league players the next competitive step in their pool repertoire," commented Lingelbach.
The 5th Pechauer West Coast tour stop of the season will be just such a stop. Panama Reds, formerly Club Amazon, on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway in West Portland, will host the first of the bar table series. KC's Midway Bar and Grill will also host a stop January 24th and 25th. These additional stops will be just like any other Pechauer Tour stop counting for full points and great payouts. "These bonus stops will truly round out the varied skill in the competitive pool arena. We have been honored that the best players on the West Coast have not only participated in, but traveled great distances to be part of something we see as such a valuable step in West Coast Pool," said Lingelbach. "The sponsors, host locations and players have all been incredibly supportive and we are proud to have such a good thing going on the West Coast," finished Lingelbach.
The initially scheduled 18 stops will not be affected by the additional stops. They are to be held throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada with one stop in Vancouver, British Columbia. Upcoming stops are posted in the tour schedule of this publication.
