The GB9 Ball Tour's season three curtain raiser was played out to a conclusion on day three and in the largest and undoubtedly strongest field ever assembled in British ranking history, Blackpool's Daryl Peach emerged victorious beating Mark Gray by eleven racks to eight in the final of the Main Event, played in the plush two table finals room at the Barceló Buxton Palace hotel in Derbyshire.
World 9 Ball Champion Peach denied Gray the perfect weekend after Gray had already gone undefeated the day prior in winning the Pro Cup. Peach's route to victory took him past David Hopkin 9-5, Matthew Ford 9-3, Craig Osborne 9-7 and Scott Higgins 9-5. The Dazzler pockets a cool £1200 for his win while Mark Gray's stack is a combined £1600 for his consistency over the two events. Look out for a full tournament report coming soon as well as the results from the GB9 Ball Tour's World Pool Masters qualifier.
The GB 9 Ball Tour is supported by Barceló Hotels, SAM Leisure, Mezz Cues, Aramith, Simonis and Flexirest.
