Action packed Memorial weekend tournament! 59 players from five different states participated in the open 9-ball event held at Boulevard Billiards in Allentown, PA this past Sunday. The single day competition was fierce. 116 matches were called out over a ten-hour span. Tour stop # 3 produced many first time arrivals to the tour. Great players like Kevin Clark, Jarred Garzone, Carmen Lombardo, Ed Matushoneck, Ryan McCreesh and many more were in attendance.
Remember the last event when Pat McNally might of tired in the finals? This one would not elude him. Refreshed and well rested, Pat's relentless near perfect performance throughout the day went unmatched. His wins were over Adam Kielar, Ed Matushoneck, Don Polo, Phil Sherman, Ryan McCreesh and Scott Haas. In the winners bracket final, Pat McNally was matched up against Scott Haas from Lancaster, PA. Pat won the match 6-4 giving him the hot seat in the tournament. Scott defeated Ryan McCreesh from Frederick, MD to win back a chance at Pat in the finals. In the final match Pat McNally never let up. The score early in the set was 6-0 before Scott Haas earned his first game. The final score was 9-2.
Another player who deserves mentioning is Jack Weltch from Mt. Laurel, NJ. Winning six matches and finishing 7th/8th was quite an accomplishment for this 16-year young up and coming sensation. Jack plays out of The Green Room in Maple Shade, NJ.
