January 15, 2005 marked the third stop for the Canadian Women's Pool Tour and VNEA's women's three-team 8-ball league. The host billiard hall was Spectrum Billiards, which is located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. CWPT would graciously like to thank Joe Rustico, the owner of Spectrum Billiards and his staff for excellent hospitality and a fun filled night.
Pandora's Box, which consists of Leslie Pasieka, Jackie Summers and Krista Walsh once again, came out on top to take the first place prize money away from last month's winner the Hot Shot's. Heading into the last round, both teams were tied 9-9. With the Hot Shot's playing against the Sharp Shooters and Pandora's Box playing against Kraft Dinner Deluxe all teams were anxious to battle it out. Pandora's Box lost the first round while the Hot Shot's won their first round. The second round went to Pandora's Box. With the third and final round upon the ladies, heads were looking back and forth from table to table to see the outcome of the final round. With that being said, Pandora's Box unleashed it's fury and became victorious once again and received the first place prize money and the first place team auction. Congratulations ladies, keep on stroking.
With three more events posted through the Canadian Women's Pool Tour web site www.cwpt.ca, there is still time to put your team in and win an all expense paid trip for four to fabulous Las Vegas in May of 2005. Substitutes are allowed and eight teams are competing for this prestigious award however do keep in mind that all players on the teams need 12 weeks in order to compete at the finals for the trip.
A 3x7 coin operated table will be raffled off at the Ontario Skill Games banquet which will be held in April to help raise funds for the ladies 8 Ball tour, tickets are $25.00 each with only 350 tickets being sold.
