Day three is underway at the USPPA Pro Am Classic and by days end, the field will be whittled down to sixteen players.
Players who looked unbeatable at the start of the event are now watching the remainder of the event from the bleachers. Tony Annigoni, who was untouchable for two matches, dropped an 8-5 heartbreaker to Josh Palmer on Sunday afternoon and finished in 65th place.
Still unbeaten, Tony Chohan, is starting to look like the tournament favorite. Chohan won two hill-hill matches before scoring an 8-6 win over Jimmy Rugnao on Saturday. Chohan will face Bob Beaulieu on Sunday and will give up five games in the race to eight.
Duke Obaob, who lost his first match of the event, has now won four straight matches including a hill-hill win over Roger Buchanon in his last match so far on Sunday.
