Round five of the Derby City Classic One Pocket division is now complete and the field has been trimmed to just 58 players.
The biggest surprise in round five was Alex Pagulayan's 3-2 win over former champion Efren Reyes. The final game saw Reyes holding a 7-0 lead when Pagulayan ran the remaining eight balls for the win. The loss to Pagulayan was Reyes' first loss in the division.
Other top players falling in round five included Dee Adkins, Mike Davis, Niels Feijen, Buddy Hall, Jeremy Jones, John Schmidt, Jose Parica and Mark Tadd.
Marquee matches in round six include Charlie Bryant vs Corey Deuel, Tony Chohan vs Darren Appleton, Danny Harriman vs Alex Pagulayan, Gabe Owen vs Francisco Bustamante.
Meanwhile, the 9-ball division kicked off with 439 players competing. Marquee first round matches include Oscar Dominguez vs Tony Crosby and Ralf Souquet vs Paul Song.
