The fans of the WPBA have been expecting Jasmin Ouschan to dominate the tour ever since she burst on the scene at the Amateur Nationals years ago. They may have got a taste of that dominating today in the TV matches at the WPBA Carolina Classic.
Ouschan started her day with a match against crowd favorite Vivian Villarreal. Ouschan took control of this match early and raced to a 4-0 early lead. Villarreal finally got on the scoreboard in rack five, but that her only shining moment in this match as Ouschan went on to the win the next three games.
Ouschan then took a break while Jeanette Lee faced off against Line Kjorsvik to determine who would play Ouschan in the finals. This match was much more competitive as each player fought for every chance. The match was tied 5-5 when Kjorsvik missed a 9-ball to allow Jeanette to the hill. Both players had chances in the next rack, but it was Jeanette who took control and won the match 7-5.
The time out of the spotlight of a WPBA Finals looked to take it's toll on Jeanette in the final match. Uncharacteristic mistakes from Lee combined with some great play from Ouschan and a couple rolls in Ouschan's favor led to a 7-1 win for Ouschan and her first WPBA tour win this year.
